Modded ASS...

Well, I am seriously thinking about pickin' up a used ASS. The pickups have been changed to DiMarzio Virtual Vintages. Any one have experiences with these pickups? Any thoughts? Thanks.

Yes BP it is! The only thing is I gotta drive 5 hours one way to find out. But the guitar is soooooo good lookin'! It makes me drool to just look at it!

My initial reaction to seeing this guitar was to buy it out from under you. Seriously a guitar that is that awesome @ that price ? I would go into it thinking I can swap the p'ups if necessary. I just saw one (not the sport version)with a similar look that was posted here but on the Bay go for 1600.Ebay Orange Quilt

ok I have double checked the photos and this is an upgraded top (Custom Made on the plate) so this explain the stunning BFR looklike top

I'm fairly new here...threeminutesboy, do you work for EBMM?

I'm just curious how long it would take to order a ASS with an upgraded top...what's the highest grade of quilt top available?

well actually I do not work for EBMM

I'm just another knucklehead and moreover French ah ah ah a

so to anser your question upgraded top are not available anymore on the Axis. They were before the BFR were released it was an option around 500$ if my memory is right

Now the only way to get on is only second hand or wait for EBMM to release an Axis BFR
