Yeah I think you are right Candid - I know that Bovine the Lord Bongo doesn't like us to talk about non EB products but I feel sure that EB doesn't supply them? If they do
maybe Jongtarz or Beth could let us know?

If I have stepped over the line then please delete.

Spud, Schaller is Schaller. Why would anyone at EB object to replacing a Schaller part? My guess is that EB would be happy to sell a new set of tuners, but I sorta doubt they'd even carry just the buttons.

I guess the message in Bovine's quote... ...

"Just a reminder.

This is not the Aftermarket Manufacturers Forum. If the main thrust of a thread is replacement parts (none OEM) for Music Man basses, I'm no longer going to discuss whether or not it's appropriate.

It's not."

hasn't been transgressed and i haven't treaded on any toes.
I'm just too polite!! ;)

Now thats cool. Pete hows the sound difference between the vintage and the solid steel. The vintage ones seem to dig into my picking hand a bit. But they sound really good.

I would say that some of the high tones are not as present with the solid saddles, but it was more of a comfort thing for me - I cut the ball of my hand on the vintage saddle screws one time too many, and I like the solid saddle feel.

See I like the Chrome tuners personally. Pete what type of solid saddles did you use?
Glenn |B)

EB solid saddles. The pearloid tuners match the PG now, and give a bit more accent to the headstock - Of course the only thing better would be if the headstock were matching, but we all know how you feel about that ;)

how nice is that neck?

It sucks, not enough birdseye.

great job, the tuners look great. do the new saddles change the tone much?

Thanks! See above

I always loved the pearl tuning keys on EBMM guitars just like my Pets....Does anyone know if we can just order these through customer service?

That's where mine came from - but I ordered the whole locking tuner assembly.

I only used replacement parts directly obtained from EBMM - plus, this isn't a bass :D
