Hey, u talkin to me? NY
Really greatjob.... only the empty screw holes in the pickguard look a bit strange. I'd saw off some heads of the screws and glue them into the pickguard holes.

She's beautiful and probably plays great but, I agree with V_S about the screw holes...

The single coils are Suhr Fletcher Landaus by the way - definitely my favourite single coils.

These pickups are awesome. I have a set in my Strat.

It sounds so amazing, and I'm so glad that I dared to do this, because it has made my number one guitar even more amazing than I thought it could be - This guitar does everything from sparkly cleans to full on metal. Absolutely amazing. :D

Sounds like a lot of fun going on :)

Thanks a lot for the nice comments. :) I'm getting more and more excited about this guitar, each time I play it - I'm so thrilled that I did this mod. I just cut a new demo for one of my bands with it this monday, and it sounded great. :)

When I first saw this thread I thought that the modding of this guitar was a waste. Putting a pickguard over a nice top.

But now looking at it a couple of more times, I kinda like it.

Well done! :)

Just stumbled across these old thread.

The guitar looks great and the switching promising. Do you have something to listen to?

Thank you for chiming in. Indeed, really nice sounds and great playing too (...at least, as we all know, it comes from the fingers :).

Thank you! Since the OP started this thread, the pickups have been changed slightly:
The middle pickup is now a DiMarzio virtual Vintage '54, and the neck pickup has been changed to the original humbucker again.

Before I bought it, my main guitar was a Charvel So-Cal, but now I'm playing this one almost exclusively.
