The AL is pretty much a symmetric 22 fret C shape and is a bit beefier than others but no baseball bat. In the MM world, the nut widths are all the same with the exception of the Pet which is a 16/th wider. The Axis / SS would be the closest but without the asymmetric slight offset. The Silo Special is also a C but to me is a bit thinner finger to thumb.

Its hard for me to base it on the other models listed because they have had different profiles over the years.

If you do a search for a thread started by spudmurphy, it includes a neckprofile project including measuerments submitted by users. It will give you an idea of all the different profiles.

Well as stated the AL is probably the beefiest neck of any Ball model, but then again their are no really hefty necks on any Ball guitars. Since the EVH/Axis is my favorite model and I have only played an AL twice since I loved what they have done with it in the HH format and wanted one badly, but did not want to buy one without checking out the feel of the neck. With that being said I will say that I foresee the AL HH replacing the EVH/Axis as my favorite ball and a guitar that I will most definitely own more than one of. I am waiting patiently for my RM/BS to come home to papa.lol

Seriously check out Blues Saraceno giving on a thorough workout, I love the vintage look of the Mint Green on this ax and hope it is not discontinued quickly. I also believe the HH configuration really gave this ax a boost that took it from not such a big seller to maybe the hottest Ball of the year sales wise, or close to it.

Sweet!

Music Man uses the nicest sounding tone woods of any of the big manufacturers, so I'm really excited to hear what their mahogany sounds like.

I've got this on the way.

I got the last one from Musician's Friend. Got a great deal on it.

COOL!!! I've never bought from them. Pete's the man as far as I'm concerned.

Can't wait to see your pics man and here what you think.

The HH AL really grew on me as of late, and the all black is awesome. Great choice on that one! I am starting to look into possibly getting one of these. Now the hard part is whether to go with black or tobacco burst???

I got my HH AL in last night and took her to band rehearsal. I love every ounce of it. I'll try to get some nice pics and do a NGD.

Sounded fantastic through a Mark V, and works for any style of music. The 2nd position on the 5-way through a clean channel is gorgeous, and the neck position is pure cream!
