Hey Guys,

Just got my new (to me) Albert Lee and she's a beauty! Ten minutes after pulling her out of the shipping box, I tuned her up and plugged and just wailed for thirty minutes through my Deluxe Reverb; this amp loves this guitar  Anyway, now that I've had a few minutes to get my Ya-Ya's out - as it were - I've gone over it a bit and want to throw out a couple of Q's

First DOB for G03719 please :D

Second, my Albert Lee doesn't have the battery compartment in the back - does it have the "Silent Circuit"? or was it produced prior to that feature being introduced? If it does have the Silent Circuit, I presume I have to go under the pick guard to get at the battery?

thanks
Jim

Okay, I've learned that they didn't put the silent circuit in Albert Lee's prior to 2001...

DATE OF BIRTH? ANYBODY?

Since the Albert Lee is a signature model we did not immediately install the silent circuit system on his guitar.

The mid 2001 catalog list the Silent Circuit as standard on the 3 SSS and 3 MM-90 model.

Thanks Derek...

FWIW, I don't miss the Silent Circuit on my Lee, I was just curious about when it was introduced on this model... I will say this for the Albert Lee: it's one of the sweetest single-coil guitars I've ever heard. Absolutely wonderful, glassy, bell-like tone with killer twang on the bridge pickup. I love mine! :D

Glad to hear it!

I will try to get more info on when we offered it standard on this model.

Thanks
