Mods...Why don't I see my 'sent' messages in my notifications??

Had an inquiry about my guitar for sale, I responded but my sent messages say 'no messages'

Just want to make sure the guy got my pm

There's a profile setting for that, maybe it's turned off?

If you click on the "Settings" link at the top, then "General Settings" on the left, and scroll down to the "Private Messaging" section, is "Save a copy of sent messages ..." selected?
