My fretless looks thirsty and so I got some lemon oil at my local GC today. How do I apply it? Comes in a little spray bottle but figure I don't want it on the strings but don't want to take the strings off. Any suggestions, tips, etc.

Spray it on a cloth. A little goes a long way. I believe you are going to have to remove the strings. You might get away with loosening them way up but I sure wouldn't want the lemon oil on my strings.

imho

You're gonna have to take the strings off, put the lemon oil, leave it there for a few minutes and wipe the excess with a clean cloth.
I would have used boiled linseed oil to moisture the board, since lemon oil is more for cleaning than for moisturizing. IMHO.

This is more of a question than an answer ... If you can take the lid off the spray bottle ... use Q-Tips to apply? You might get some oil on the strings.

dont leave the lemon oil on too long... and dont use too much. like it was said a little goes a long way.

eg.(if you had frets) it can soak in expand and pop the frets up :).
