Hi Molly. You're a great player, and an inspiration. As I said in an earlier post in this thread, I'm often most impressed by musicians who run the gamut & cover a lot of ground in terms of musical styles/genres, etc. And you demonstrated that you are that type of musician in that video clip.

Another thing I noticed & that impressed me was how you just couldn't help but slip into a genuine deep groove, even in a demo situation like that. It says a lot about your love of bass & of music in general.

Jeez, considering what you did in just those few minutes, I can only imagine what I'll find as I check out more and more of your work!

Peace, Grace & Bass ...
Thanks Robert! That means a lot. One of my favorite things about playing in a band
is standing by the hi hat and becoming completely immersed in a tight groove.

I have always loved all styles of music; thanks to my parents and years of
playing with lots of wonderful musicians here in Ohio.

Molly, do you know Bob Nyswonger? Jack (Bovinehost) and I came up to Cinci to see the Psychodots a couple years back. They were fantastic, and all great guys. We stayed with Bob while we were there. He is one hell of a cook, too.

Molly and company are great. I think we have her hooked on coming to California any time Music Man basses and El Mexicali catering is involved. We will do more videos with her and currently she is checking out some new Ernie Ball accessories prototypes for us.

Molly can jam any style instantly....Not just the video demo, but full on jammin
She plays 3-5 nights a week in the Columbus OH area with 3 or 4 different bands. All this while raising 3 kids and being a home-maker.

We need to get her on here....
Hey Derek, I'm finally here. Still a newbie trying to figure out how to talk to people.
Yea, Anytime El Mexicali is involved, I'm there. I'm one of those few people who like to jam on a full stomach!
I have been comparing the Slinkys, Super Slinkys and the new coated strings on my Sabre and Sterling. So far, I have not needed to change the coated strings. I'll be working them hard tonight, sat and sunday so I'll let you know more... Thanks!

Sorry Madam Molly, did you say coated strings on your bass?? I thought the coated bass strings were not yet available for sale or are they?

If they are, why hasn't anyone told the Capt? :D

There is a video on you tube of Molly and I jamming at the Nashville show and at the end there is a small crowd and Vince Gill had stopped to listen and was clapping classic moment. Ignore my hackjob if you find it Molly plays great on it.

You have to watch it at 5 minutes and 41 seconds in.

That's awesome ... smells like funk! I see Steve Bailey there with Victor Wooten, just after you guys' jam. We need to get Steve Bailey on a Bongo ... he's a monster on a 6 string fretless. I know he'd love the Bongo.

Hey Ritch, So you are a Columbusite?
Which of the Columbus bands have you seen/heard.
I am glad you like what you have heard. Thanks!
Molly

I am a proud Columbusite - DeSales grad, OSU grad - grew up by the Circle (when the neighborhood was nice) - took lessons at Sonny's Guitar Shop and then from Karl Gunther.

I want to say I caught you at Hoggy's (my parents now live off of 62 in Gahanna) I have seen you a few other times but it is escaping me for the moment. I did like what I heard (unfortunatly I was only there for about 3/4 of a set). I will definately check you out and introduce myself the next time I roll into town.

Killer demo.

Hard to not be inspired, seeing so much sound result from such minimal effort.

Fantastic...

thats it....Im glad you cant hear me!
Hey Sterling, That's the problem. We need to hear more of you. There is another
video of us jamming that Robin shot. I can hear you much better but the
Namm noise is pretty loud. I'll see if he can send us a clip. You were chatting with
Vince Gill for awhile in that one.
