No drilling for the Schallers either, and as I said, the EBMM stock screws fit the locks perfectly, so no chance of damaging the threads (unless you go gorillafist on it) either.

I can vouch for Jack; he sure knows how to reinstall regular strap buttons

On some other basses I use straplocks, but imho straplocks suck compared to the nice big buttons EB put on the Bongos. Ok, maybe if you wanted to carry your bass on your back, straplocks would be nice, but for normal use?

I use straplocks on my off-brand bass, but I have the stock strap buttons on my 2 Stingrays. I also like those nice, big strap buttons on EBMM basses; I never feel like my strap is going to slip off.
