More Fing Craziness

OK, call me crazy, fickle, wishy-washy,nuts etc. you get the drift
But i went and did it, bought the Black Magic Cyrstal Axis, I was so back and forth on this, and it was driving me crazy, I even posted nope not going to do it and told Pete on the phone Monday nope not doing it

But I just could not get it out of my thoughts, my main thing was not the floyd itself but upkeep(i.e. string changes).

And I always wanted an Axis, pure tone and simplicity, so I went back and played it some more, and then went back again, slept on it as Jack FFR 1846 would have done and then took the advice of a wise man on this fourm and took the plunge after working out a damn good deal on it.

Anyways the Axis is awesome, should have done this before and this color is special and unique, my pics or any pics I have seen do not show whats going on with the finish, one of those need to see in person colors, alot going on with the finish, I took 25 pics and only 4 made it, will try some outdoor shots in the spring, to much rain and bad weather here lately.

Aren't you glad you slept on it? I mean yah.....the trem does poke you in the back, but otherwise, aren't you glad? Now it's not an impulse buy. You thought long and hard about it.

Ok.....now you MUST do the following. Buy a 500k push-pull pot. Remove the existing 500k pot and simply put the wires onto the p-p as they come off the regular one. Now put those 2 wires that are twisted together from each pickup and put them onto the 2 switches of the push-pull and put the center to ground.

I never liked sparkle finishes much but that's killer.

Yep sides and back are the same as the top, another reason I atacted me.

browndog, there are pics and a thread on this when BP teased us, it dates back to last September/early October this was a GC special, I believe it was 40 Hot Rod Red Axis/ASS and 40 BMC Axis/ASS, I bought the Hot Rod Red ASS from GC in November, this one was at a GC I only go to occasionally, they also made some GC basses in these colors as well.
