I've actually got no overall true rooting interest in this one. I'm a lifelong Giant fan that just gave up season tickets that my father originally got in 1959 as part of a group of friends. I ended up controlling four of the six original tickets from the group. However with the new stadium at $5K per seat license in the corner of the end zone plus $125/game so I could have more restaurants and souvenir stands ... I passed.

My brother wants to go as New Orleans fans but I figure I'll just root for whatever fan base lets me hang at their tailgate before the game:):)

And let me say thanks to all the good wishes received from you forumites. This is a great place

WOW sounds like the stuff they did opening the new Cowboy stadium, or as the local sports radio progam calls it "The Death Star".

Enjoy the game, hope its a good one, and definetly enjoy that Minty goodness of an AL:D

Hey Mike--

I'm a periodic EB forum lurker; not much of a poster. Not much of a religious man either, but I'm praying for you and sending positive vibes your way. I've got 4 ALs (soon to be 5 with an HH in mint coming my way next week) and that makes us blood brothers.

Hi Mike,

I haven't stopped in much lately, but read your post and wanted to send you my best wishes as well. Your green Silo still has a happy home in my house - where it often entertains my two little girls. That sure is an awesome minty AL!

Best wishes,
Todd (in Portland, OR)

Hey guys, I was just doing a quick lurk - its been an interesting few weeks but I thought I'd chime in to let you know what was up. If I wasn't actually living it, I wouldn't believe my story either.

On the Tuesday before the Super Bowl I was scheduled for an infusion of the trial drug I am on (MDX-1106) but the night before I was having abdominal pain. So instead of the chemo on Tuesday, I had an emergency appendectomy. I looked at the the surgeon before going in and said that that I AM going to the Super Bowl, and she told me as long as there were no complications I could go. - So I flew out Friday after having the surgery on Tuesday and brought some good (prescription) drugs.

Saw Robert Randolph and the Barenaked Ladies on Saturday at the NFL sponsored Beach Concert. The game was a fun time and is a pretty hectic scene all around. Saints fans were everywhere including the brass band we walked from the parking area to the stadium with. I'm still wondering if the guy got his tuba in.

However, one of thefamily members I was there with had some personal issues so my brother and I (in my painful and semi altered state) had to take care of them for the next two days. Just a little more to add to the week.

Now I'm set for my brain surgery to remove that tumor tomorrow (2/12) so I'll probably be away for a while longer. My friend Joe asked to make sure they tell me how thick my skull is since he used to watch me break all kinds of things with my head.

Saying positive and moving forward :)
Take care y'all

Best Wishes Michael, more than you realise.

The ALOC awaits the return of it's leader to full duties and Sir Spud is just keeping "the seat" warm.

Those mint green HH Al's are the best looking new guitars I have seen in some time. Brilliant.
Congrats and we are pulling for you.
