Someone asked Steve that same question at our clinic last October. From what I remember it was because it projects outward and to the side as opposed to outward and upward. Tommy can give final word on that, I think he is loading gear in the rain!

I just got back from the show!
It was off the hook great....
To be able to see Steve and Dave at a venue like that was beyond a dream come true!!!!
Got to meet Tommy...what a nice guy he is!
First time meeting Steve and Dave also even though I have seen them 6 or 7 times...I hope just a tiny bit of it rubbed off!
All the way home I was thinking how I gotta practice more to do my Morse justice....Im such a hack!

Beyond words.. thats all I gotta say!
