Thats not too bad, but I definitely think their are better amps out there for metal. Seems like the Egnater's better for clean stuff, and classic rock type stuff. Cool riff though, John.

The Egnater modular stuff can be just about anything you want it to be, Phil. That's the beauty of it. If John's tone is a certain way, it's because John chose for it to be that way.

Well, aside from personal fingerprint, it's also about the guitar...I doubt I can get my Morse to sound like Dream Theater tones, nor could I get a Petrucci to sound like a Morse. The guys who like very high gain metal stuff sometimes don't care for the thick mids of the Egnater stuff as a matter of personal taste. Fine by me. There are few big high gain amps I can get my own sound on with the exception of the Diamond Spec Op.

Oh, I know he probably wanted it that way. I'm not bashing anyone. I just don't dig it I guess. I never really did dig the Egnater stuff. The regular tone that John gets is killer though! :)
