I thought I was seeing things but it looks as is Morse and Malmsteen have ended the feud...you know the one that started when Yngwie said Steve joining Purple was sick and his vibrato sucked the bag.

I was just on Steve's myspace page and Yngwie is listed as a friend and he is opening for Purple in Japan. Hell just froze over I guess.

I don't know Morse personally, but he strikes me as a person that is impossible to be angry with. Kind of like me. :)

I guess he is a forgiving soul....still though I admit I would like to see that show, if only to see if Yngwie and Steve play on the same stage.

I remember a young YJM who bashed anyone who's last name wasn't Blackmore.
I assume he my have been comparing Steve to somone he holds above everyone else.

I never heard they had that feud either.

the younger Malmsteen was a pompous @ss, I think he's matured with age and twinkie consumption.

Here is an excerpt from an interview with Guitar Magazine.

"Perhaps unsurprisingly there has been one element of negativity, and it comes from Sweden - from a man who has worshipped at the altar of Blackmore for an entire career, and who must have been more than gutted that he wasn't offered the gig...

'Yngwie Malmsteen? I guess you can judge his reaction by all the nice things he's said about me... sorry, that should have been none of the nice things he's said!' grins Morse. 'He's the only guy in the business I've been acquainted with who's ever had it in for me.' "

I love Yngwie's music but as far as the person goes, forget it. Morse, I love both the music and the man.

I have never thought it was a feud and I remember Steve's response very well. Surely Steve can respond to a comment and it's not a feud? Having met Steve many times I doubt he thinks it's a feud either...

I was being facetious using the word feud, but I don't think there was a lot of love lost there. I recall Steve's response too, he was a class act all the way.

Mind you Steve did say that Yngwie "had it in for me"

As I recall it all started in a defunct magazine called Guitar Ship
