That was great. I had no idea that Steve manipulated his controls so much while playing. That was very interesting.

Oh, and his new no.1 looks awesome. I love the pickguard.

I got that early on and I agree with what he says. Play then get out of the way, same principle as recording/mixing. Since I've started doing it, it sounds strange sticking with one pickup all the way through. I'm going to try incorporating the tone control but I don't think my playing justifies it :)

Me thinks this is one of those lesser known big features of MM guitars designed by master guitar players, the controls and pickup configurations in the guitar itself provides a far range of tonalities that could be explored.
 
Steve uses his guitar like a Swiss Army Knife. The man is a Tone Master General!
