I'm looking for a Musicman Morse (the blue one with poplar, fixed bridge and HSSH config)
I wonder if there's some differences between the '90 models and the '00 ones
they look the same, but maybe I missed sthing ?
What !!!!! So I had to write in English for another Frenchman !!
But I forget something : the locking tuners. The old models do not have them. The new ones have Schaller locking tuners.
Interressant, je croyais les locking tuners came avec tous les Morses, comme les photos sur Le site Music Man seem to suggest and I think is case for most MM guitars, except the Floyd models. Besides, locking tuners peut ameliorer les tuning stability de n'importe quelles guitars, even acoustics!
And see what you guys have done? Un Irlandais in Paris who parles in Franglais. Nice. Je suis totally confused now!
Can anyone else shed some light on the locking tuner question? Are they standard on all non-Floyd guitars?
around 2005 - when the Y2D was introduced - the neck shape was updated. Steve´s #1 was measured again and both models (standard and Y2D) got the new neck shape

There are youtubes of Steve's #1 and Y2Ds being played back to back and the Y2D has a brighter tone charateristics of the maple top. Also, by losing the 4th pickup the Y2D's lose a twangier pickup option that only the originals have.
I have an older Morse that I'm considering changing out the 3 way for a 5 way that's wired like the Y2D. But I've never played the Y2D.
