My friend has JP guitar, and the neck is super thin, way thinner than mine.

He also has a Steve Morse Model, and was toying around with the idea of putting the SM neck on the JP body. Would this work?

That'd be like... weird and stuff!

I'm sure there's been some 'neck swap shenannigans' around here recently. I think it was an Axis/Luke swap last time.

As long as the neck pocket and screw holes line up without being forced I can't see it being a problem just be careful and make sure you do the neck bolts up good and tight before getting the string tension going.

Mind you I am at best an amateur luthier so I'd probably look for a response from a proper qualified grown up before warming up the screwdrivers !

I think you might have a problem with the Morse/JP neck swap - doesn't the JP have a 24-fret neck and the Morse have a 22-fret neck? The Luke/Axis was swapping one 22-fret neck for a different 22-fret neck.

That would throw everything off even if the neck holes lined up, wouldn't it?

Great idea - wouldn't work though, as the intonation would be off by an inch or so (because of the longer neck of the JP).
However, I believe a 24 fret Silhouette might be a direct replacement.

Cheers
