Well, i have been thinking about getting one. is this a good price for a hardtail? i need some input from all you Morse owners! :)

i was thinking that i would want a floyd, but my EVH has one anyway.

he says it is a 2005....it must have been one of the last ones before the new model!? i dont know? the barcode stickers on the back, are those from the factory, must be??

thanks for the input!!!

Brent,
I think you can get a better (*cough* *cough* DuBaldo) price than that on one... Of course you might have to wait a couple of months, how bad do ya want it?

The BIN is an "ok" price. FYI- the "new" model Morse (Y2D) does NOT replace the original, for the time being anyway. EB has not indicated that they are dropping the first generation model and replacing it with the Y2D.

+1 !!!
i been playin this model since 1990. ALOT !!!! the original model is still my fav.
they are amazing instruments !!!!!!!!!!!
SO much versitility live........no changing guitars during the night to get some certain sound. it's ALL in there somewhere with those 4 pickups !!!!!!
for a guitar that out performs everything else....i think the b.i.n. price is a steal !!!!!
it's new !!!!!

Tommy, do you know if the pickguard for the Steve Morse is the same as that of the Silo Special, excluding the pup config of course?

which model..... & the same in what way ????
OK I'm not to familiar with the Morse models, I guess the one with the trem and by similar I mean in fitting the srew holes, neck pocket and trem area. In other words, I might as well be upfront. Since I successfully converted one of my SUB 1's into a Silo Spec, I wanted to try and convert one of my other SUB 1's into an SM model...this is why I asked.
If the holes line up then all is well, if not I'll have to get one custom made...so it's not the end, just an easier way of getting things done...

PM Blues is a EBMM dealer, but there prices are high for being in little old Rhode Island.

Check out www.gbase.com they show up there every now and then.

Good luck, Glenn |B)

i don't have a sub to compare to the morse......
i doubt if it would match though...especially w/ a trem involved........
As long as the Morse matches the Silo Spec than everything is cool!

I'd think that they're a bit different- certainly around the bridge (you'd need to compare the floyd model SM guard, not the tune-o-matic one). Call EB Service or Chandler- either should be able to tell you. (I wish you'd asked me last week! I would have put my silo and morse pickgards together to measure!)

Worst case get a silo guard and it's easy to drill two more holes :D
