Not a clue. But good luck. I'm pretty happy with the buckers so I haven't messed around with them. (Though I have a set of Axis p'ups I'd thought about trying for fun).

I did change my singles though- put Dimarzio Areas in there. Pretty decent, dead quiet.

The OLP is being turned into a Super Tele...

*NOTE*
I am actually happy with the Morse pickups. I just like to tinker and see what I get.

A8 is sort of like a cross between A5 and ceramic, but it definitely has a unique flavor to it, I'd expect smoother highs and a looser bass response, but it rally depends on the other aspects of the pickup.

One thing to be aware of is that Dimarzio glues in the magnets on some models, and it's really frustrating to get them out.

Oh man, that's good to know. Duncan just holds theirs in by the wax. I may forgo the experiment. I'm a tinkerer but not a mad scientist....

It's only some models, and it's easy to tell if the glue is present, it looks like the hot glue people use for arts and crafts projects (only much stronger), and it surrounds the magnet on the baseplate.

The Morse's are my favorite passive pups. Then again I have been guilty of changing stock pups out of guitars. It's what makes them mine.

I have about decided to leave well-enough alone. The pickups seem fine but I did like my Air Zone/Air Norton combo I had in the guitar a couple of months ago. Using 500k pots though, just made the single coils unbearable.

I think I'll try the AZ/AN combo and try keeping the 250k pots first. If they seem too muddy I'll replace the tone pot (DiMarzio's recommendation).

Okay, after thinking long and hard and either chickening out or just coming to my senses, I decided to replace the pickups and not the magnets. I had a DiMarzio Air Zone/Air Norton combo that wasn't doing anything so I took the Morse hummers out and put the AZ/AN in. I also changed out the pots. I installed a 500k pot for the volume and a 250k push/pull pot for the tone.

So far? I'm happy with the results. The guitar is, overall, a tad warmer and more organic-sounding. The AZ/AN have a tone of warm sustain and crunch to them but clean up so nicely.

I wonder about the single coils now - Stay tuned..........
