Hello

The thread about the DiMarzio Transition Humbucker Variation is interesting and I decided to check my Morse and my SUB (I put Morse humbuckers on my SUB).
The DiMarzio web site gives the specifications :
  • Neck Humbucker : resistance = 21 kohm
  • Bridge Humbucker : resistance = 9.94 kohm
On my SUB, I have more or less these values. But on my Morse, the resistance is higher (22.3 kohm and 11.5 kohm).
Any idea why ?
What is the tolerance of the pickup manufacturers like DiMarzio ?

No idea what the tolerances are. But this prompted me to check a few of the pickups I have lying around.
  • The pickups from my '91 Morse are 22.4k (Neck) / 9.7k (Bridge).
  • I have another Morse Bridge pickup (a few years old) that measures 10.2k (Bridge)
