I love the Morse Y2D - but I *really* love the Morse "standard" model, and the #1 reason for that is the two-way toggle right there for kicking in/out the bridge pickup.
I'm not one of those guys (like Steve
) who's constantly twiddling/adjusting the pickup selector while playing - so that switch makes life pretty easy for me.
The prototype of the Y2D retained that switch setup, but for whatever reason final version of the Y2D made the three-way blade into a five-way blade so that there was only one switch on the Y2D.
Pooh-pooh, say I
- so I made my own Y2D Prototype Replica that has the two-way "add bridge toggle" and replaces the 5-way blade with the standard model 3-way blade.
Steve's was a Purple Sunset Quilt, closest thing I had laying around is a Purple Sunset Flame (since I traded my Purple Sunset Quilt body for a PDN Neptune Blue African Mahogany body a few months ago) - so herewith it is!
Now if that looks pretty cool - then save that pic - because more changes to this guitar are on the horizon.
