but there aren't many around, and i thinks it's hard to find one of those for sale.

thanks for all your replies!

i visited my local dealer today and asked if i could take the TB Y2D at home for doing some testdrive on it.
don´t like to check a guitar at the store, i prefer to test it with my own amp-setup. and yes, they allowed me to take it home for the weekend.

so here are a few pictures of my current and maybe my next Y2D side by side.
what do you guys think about it?
does it need to be matching headstock?

Tobacco burst is classic - purple sunset isn´t really my cup of tea... too much purple + 1 don´t really like the purple pickups

ps no matching headstock needed natty is classic

They used to be non-floating. Just changed this year.

yes and no, the old ones were sitting on the top, if you get a used one, it will not be floating. as i remember right, EBMM started making the trem floating in the autum of 2009 - don´t know an exact date.

I think until some point not so long ago somewhen in 2009 all Floyd-Morses were non-floating. it´s relatively new that they are floating.
so if anybody wants one there must be enough NOS in the shops - or buy a used one...

I would definitely go Tobacco as you have the Purple already and because it is a beautiful looking color. Plus it will give more identity to your second one Sometimes people think it is odd when someone has a few of the same model which most of us do with certain ones. But I would find it odd buying the same model even though it is a stoptail in the same color unless that was the only option.
