Most versatile EBMM Guitar?

I play a multitude of styles. It doesn't mean that I do them well. I just play a lot of styles. You can go to my MySpace page and listen. In y'all's opinions, what is the most versatile EBMM model? Now, I know a great player can get great tomes and make his/her guitar do a lot of things. I know some guys with stock Telecasters that play a bunch of styles and they sound great.

I'm not one of those players. I need some help form the versatility of the guitar itself....

The" Luke" ebmm to me is the most diverse guitar i own ive used it with Metal, Rock, Pop, Jazzy stuff and anything between and it has never let me down tone wise the just sound great and play awesome

+1 on the silo or Luke. Those two cover a lot of ground.

Be it Specials (22 frets) or normals (24 frets), but if versatility is needed - take one with a trem and try if you can get a piezo, too

From the ones I've played, I'd have to say either the silhouette or luke. While I did like the morse, the distinction between pickup changes wasn't as pronounced as the other two, especially the luke (that middle pickup just sounds awesome for clean tones and blues, then dark & heavy with the bridge).

Luke is really great. I don't have an HSS Silo, but wish I did. I'm a recent convert to HSS or HSH for verstaility, I've been an HH guy for almost forever.

To the comment about great players, I agree. I know a hot country player locally who plays an Axis Super Sport HH, you'd never know he wasn't playing a Tele if that's what he's going for.

Thanks for the replies so far everybody. I kind of figured that the Sil, Special or normal, and the Luke would be the favs. Which model(s) will do some hot-pickin' Country? I used to have an EBMM AL that I sold in a momentary lapse of reason. Don't ask..... I still kick myself for that one and I sold it 3 years ago.

Al (of course) and Morse will do some great country tones. ASS with MM90s. Sil Spec SSS as well.

Not that I play Country a lot, but my AL would do a phenomenal Tele bridge tone; especially after I replaced the metal strip under the bridge pickup, with a copper-plated steel baseplate that covered the entire footprint of the pickup...

I have to agree. Have you heard all the tones Steve Morse can pull out of one of these?

A very under appreciated guitar, IMO.

I suppose my Axis w/MM90 . It's the hottest twang of all and the modern tele as well.

I'd like to hear more about that....

He worked in one of the local music stores, he moved to Florida recently, but he has an all rosewood Axis SS with hums that he used in a spankin' country band that played around the Carolinas. He showed me how he could balance his five-way switch between positions 4 and 5 (5 being neck pup) and get a real single coil sound. I tried it myself, and it does work, but I think the majority of his country mojo came from his own hands. Just working the volume and tone knobs (I don't now anyone who uses the tone knobs like he does) and adjusting his right hand style, which was almost all hybrid picking, he got a pretty darn good modern Tele tone (think Brad Paisley) out of a the ASS.

But, I'll be the first to admit that some folks are a different level than the rest of us, and he was one of those guys.

my vote is still with the silo + trem, nothing comes close !
