Besides palm-muting, what's the best mute setup for the SR5? Sponge at the bridge? Any retrofits?

I'll give the flats and foam strip a +2. I like to use the foam insulation that you use to seal up gaps when you put an air conditioner in your window. Cheap and works well.

I'm feeling a little silly asking this but, short of providing the specs, can you give me more info on the 'foam strip' and where you position it?

i put it here.. you need to experiment with the thickness so it mutes the strings correctly. too thin and youll get string buzzes. just find a carton box with foam lining and you can cut it out from that...
