Cool. thanks for the commentary.

I love the sound of my SR5 -- the mix of growl and clarity that you get with that pickup placement, and I worry about losing it w/ a 2 pickup Bongo. The idea of having that exact pickup plus a more low-end neck pickup is appealing.

I just wish one of the stores up here near Boston would get one in!

And that makes logical sense, right? But, what I haven't figured out is why my Sterling's 9v preamp is hotter (louder) that my Bongo's 18v. Must be turbocharged.

What if Bongos are wired in parallel so 9V + 9V is still only 9V but with twice the current?
