Is there a thread or blog on this site for Music Man Amp lovers? I've seen the Pacair site but it seems stagnant.

Is it because EBMM doesn't want that discussion here or just not enough interest for the Knucleheads?

The amps were ditched pretty early on, when Ernie Ball bought the MusicMan business.

I vaguely remember Sterling talking a bit about the amps - but I think that he doesn't want the amps linked with the current business? I may be wrong and Sterling would need to speak in person on this?

Do you have a MM amp?

I have several MM amp pieces. You and I both know that there is a cult following on these amps just like the following on EBMM guitars. It would be great if Sterling could chime in and give his blessing or rejection on this.

I have the one MM amp and I'm always looking for a deal on an RD112. (British version so I don't have to run a transformer)

The MM amp I have is just great.

I have two, and love em!

Got this 212HD 130 about 5 or so years ago....

and just picked this 112RD 50 a few months ago to lug around to friends houses

the 112 has the 12ax7 preamp tube in it, while the 212 does not. I'd love to swap out the 212 for one that has the 12ax7.

**Not pictures of my actual amps, just the same models, but mine are in similarly good shape.

yeah, it's pretty sweet! i haven't found the distortion channel very useful yet....I use a Tube Screamer for my dirty....but we move into a new house we are building in just over a month, and I have a large music room where I can turn it up and experience with it.

I actually like the distortion on the RD amps. Set it at about 6.5 to 7. As to the RD50 in Hawaii, is it for sale? PM me.

Aloha.. I have a MM 130 HD head..Any clue what these are going for on the market nowadays? Only thing noticeably wares down besides the obvious aged natural ware is the mesh infront is gone..

It's a shame the mesh is gone - impossible to get exact replacement grill cloth. Difficult to be precise with the price - I,ve seen them go for $400 upwards

Yah.. I went down to my local music store and asked them where I could find some mesh .. And luckily enough I got a huge piece from a fender cab from the same time period they were redoing.. So it may not be exact design but it'll be all from the same time period :)

Sometimes you can come across an RH cab that's pretty beat but the cloth is still good. Hardware, cloth, speaker, and badges could be worth the price itself.
