The size and weight of the cabs were enough for me to get rid of them. They barely fit in the back seat of my car. Now I can fit it all in my trunk.

I have never tried an Eden head. I probably should have.

I know what you mean. I'm sticking with their small cabs for right now the d210xst fits into the back of my VW Golf along with a 4 space standard SKB rack. It's fits just perfect in the hatch trunk. My Dingwal (freedom skb case) rides in the passenger sit up front (with seat belt...just kidding). :) I'm tempted to try a pair of Eden 112's with this setup.

The couple of D410XLT cabs I've played in the past farted out way too quick for my playing style. I haven't had any experience with anything else from Eden, though.

I find the XLT series drivers strong in the mids ... not as strong in the low end. The XST series drivers on the other hand are excellent for low end.

In fact, the Eden 210XST handles more power (500 watts, 30Hz - 14KHz) than my 212XLT (400 watts, 40Hz - 14KHz). Both cabs are 103dB SPL, quite efficient. Together, they cover the spectrum well IMHO.

I have nothing against Eden but the word on the street matters a bit to the guy who has enough scratch to look at Edens.

I think something just as recognized but with a solid pedigree like GK or a good rep like Genz Benz will be better.

I've a friend who plays SR4 from early 80's on a Eden WT800 head, and EBS 4x10' cab. This sound for me is perfect.

Music Man Basses and Eden Amps

Well i can honestly say i`ve been very satisfied with my sound, both on stage and through the house mix, plus you add a 79`Sabre,and now a SR5! oh yeah,i have been playing Eden for the last 13yrs,i`ve never had a problem with the amp, or any speaker repair,I have played through Hartkes,Ampegs,ect.. but the smoothest, cleanest sound has been through the Eden,it just depends on the individual i guess, but what a heck of a combination.

In a van, down by the river...
I've got an 8 ohm 410 XST and I love it. I A/B'ed it against several other 410s (Ampeg, SWR, GK) and, to my ears, it sounded significantly better...it's rated at 1000 watts, so I can get almost every watt out of my SVT 4 Pro with just one cab, so I'm pretty happy! I've never heard it distort or fart out, and I've cranked it pretty loud! VERY deep low end! (For what its worth, mine as manufactured prior to the sale of Eden).

The heads didn't do it for me, though...to each his own!

I've played a SR5 through an Eden WT300 (bought used) for a few years, and it sounds great, and has worked well for all kinds of music. I bought it used and don't have big gear budgets these days. I'm using Avatar cabs.

Others can comment better on what their sales potential is ...

Played a 76 SR through a wt800 and a 410xlt for a couple of years.
At low volumes, the tone was faultless.
At high volumes, however...it was harsh.
When it started to draw the same opinion from other band members,
I ditched the rig.

You said you like the sound with your bass. That is what counts.
I have an old JBL15 cab here it dosen't look like much but boy with the Bongo the sound is awsome I have not heard much better anywhere. JBL has not made em since the 1980's So it is over 20 yrs old.
Now go enjoy that ampeg cab.. :)
