I installed a Tremel-No which I believe to be the problem, but what will happen is when I depress the whammy bar I can feel something causing resistance. Almost like something is rubbing together inside the guitar. When I release the whammy bar, it doesn't return completely to the original position. I have to pull up on it a bit. I've heard of others using the Tremel-No and having no issues, so I was wondering how I might be able to troubleshoot this.

On some guitars the backplate can contact the tremel-no. If you have the backplate installed then this may be the problem. If the backplate is not installed then you may need to loosen one of the tension screws on the tremel-no.

Thanks for your reply. I actually don't have the backplate on. I think it's rubbing up against the inside of the body, underneath the tremel-no.
