Help! Music man bongo wiring

I have a MMB F05555 4 string . I was trying to tighten the input from the outside .pulled 2 wires off I know where the white on goes but where does the silver from the body go? I enclosed a picture. I cannot find a clear diagram. I have all Ibanez basses and the jack is usually tightened from the outside . I should have paid closer attention .

It looks like an earth (ground) wire but I'm not sure.

appears it should attach to the input jack. Here's mine, different year, single H, but ostensibly the same.
