Hope everyone is doing well,

Just a quick question, it's been a while since I've ordered a guitar from Ernie Ball and I'm thinking it's about time.

I would like a JP6 Mystic Dream all options but with Dot inlays. Any idea on the build time to ship to Canada? A few years back I think it was around 6 or 7 months but that was for a BFR. I think it was less for my 7 string.

Thank You
Matt

Mine took right at 5 months. Ordered middle of August and it came in early last week. Someone at my local shop said 20 weeks is what one should expect. That means you should get it in June if you ordered now?

I had a feeling that was the ballpark range if I ordered now, May/June.

It's like torture:

Interrogator: Mr Terrorrist we want to know everything you know
Terrorrist: No way
Interrogator: Do you know what Waterboarding is?
Terrorrist: Sorta
Interrogator: We know you just ordered an Ernie Ball Music Man John Petrucci 6 string with Mystic Dream, piezo, matching headstock and dot inlays...Now you could have that in sayyyyy.....3 weeks or 20 WEEKS!
Terrorrist: OK OK OK, I'll tell you everything.

Looks like I'm gonna have to go for it!

Matt

Believe me, the wait is worth it. My only problem was I thought It would be in for Thanksgiving, so I was on edge for over a month thinking I was about to get a call. As a forum member suggested to me, put on Dream Theater's "Score" DVD and watch until the guitar comes in (assuming you're a DT fan of course. ;)

Bear in mind here the "Guinness factor"

Southern Ireland, long line of part poured Guinness pints, as it takes 6 minutes to finish the final pour into the glass and hand to customer. Result? Perfection, nectar.

UK Guinness, normallly, pour and serve in 6 seconds. Result? OK, but well nothing special.

Things made with love and care just take longer, but it's worth the wait!

Some luthiers send photos that show the major steps of building a guitar… I think it's a great thing - thanks that waiting time is not so painful ;)
It would be really cool if EBMM would inform about the progress of building specific guitar… BFR at least :]
Unfortunately, I don't even know the number of my order, because the international orders aren't made personally - the path is: orderer (me) -> music store -> local dealer -> MM…
Anyhow, as people say here - it'll be worth waiting (3 months… it's not so long, isn't it?;)

Pics of my Balls!

Thank You EB and thanks to the guys in this thread, who helped get me in touch with the right people, very much appreciated.

Sorry for the pics, without daylight it's very difficult to show the true beauty and depth of these colours. The Mystic Dream finish is probably the most difficult to capture, it looks different in pics than in person. I must say, the quality coming out of the EB factory is amazing, I went over my JP6 with a fine tooth comb and it's pure perfection.

I'm not sure what's wrong with the top on my BFR, it's got all these waves and stuff...... :D

Indeed, sth is wrong with this top... hmm... I know! It's because of sun - it is a little bit melted :) BFR's that didn't lay on the sun looks like that ;)
