Hello there!
I'm new in the forum, my name is Marcello, I'm from Rome, Italy and I've been owning a MM Luke for years, I slightly modded that baby. Now it has Di Marzio pickups and higher frets.

By the way, in this post I want to ask you a thing. I really really LOVE the smell of my Luke's case, do you know which kind of parfume do MM use? I would like to put it into my electric guitar gig bag and acoustic guitar case too, to make the guitars smell always like that.

Can you help me?

Thank you guys,
peace
M

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but that's not perfume. You're probably smelling a combination of the materials used in manufacturing plus a little gunstocks oil/wax and any polish or fretboard conditioning products you've used over the years.

Though... Eau De Dargie could be it :D

Yeah....I suspect it is the combo of glue, textiles, and gun stock oil/wax. I do find it funny how chemical smells suddenly are pleasurable when they are associated with getting something new - like a new guitar, a new car, etc.

Do you think if they all smelled like dog poo, we'd eventually like the smell of dog poo?

Not sure about the dog poo. I'll stick with injection molded ABS plastic, hot glue, spray adhesive, and wonder wipes.

You are probably smelling the glue and fabric used.

Yep, I think it's the combo of fabric and glue and maybe guitar's finish too.

So I argue it's impossible to "transfer" the smell in a gig bag (and in my bedroom too!), right?
