--Moondog and I were talking about New Jersey.
--I mention New Jersey Guitar and bass center. He quoted me saying that he liked the store.
--I then responded (suposed to be a resonse to him) saying that they (nj g and b) have bongos in stock etc, then I added the bongo configuration thing. I was taliking about NJ G and B, but since this thread wasn't originally about that, confusion ensued.

Everything I have said is refering to New Jersey Guitar and Bass Center.

Really sorry for the confusion, and taking over the thread. My bad...

For the record, I know nothing about Washington Music Center.

There is a Silent Circuit in the HS version of the Bongo designed to just about eliminate hum caused from the single-coil. New Jersey Guitar & Bass sent a bass back to the factory for that reason, but we were unable to duplicate the problem. Our conclusion was that there are certain incompatibilities with almost anything electronic, and at this point it seems not be a concern as there are many hundreds of Bongos out with the HS configuration with just two or three complaints.

In response to this... In no way was I discrediting anybody, or trying to question the quality of EBMM products or the good men at New Jersey Guitar and Bass Center.

Again really sorry for the confusion. hope everybody is cool now.

I'm cool with it... I'm hip... :D

For what its worth (not that it's an issue anyways), the Bongo HS that I have at the store makes no buzz through any of the amps, even when I turn the volume up and play ;)

I'm OK with it too, but you have to understand why I jump all over posts like yours. Because of how many people read the forums, things like this can get way out of hand very quickly. You were given some bad info, and posted it here, and because of the power of suggestion, people will hear things that don't exist. I would only ask that you be a bit more careful in the future.

Thanks

I completely understand. I've been a member of a few other forums, so I know people can get pretty crazy about things in these places.

Thanks for keepin in in check guys,

-Mike
