Question Music Man GS412 Guitar Cabinet 1979?

Hi,
I just bought a 1979 Music Man Guitar Cabinet, and I have been searching the web for the manual but haven’t found one yet.

I believe it has an output of 600w/8 ohms but I recently read that the cabinet is mono/stereo(2x16 ohms). So does that mean I can run it as a single cab in stereo? Which brings me to my second question: is that what the second input is for (the input with «screw»)?

I would bet $1 that there's no possible way that a 41 year old 4x12 has the original speakers in it. I have bought 2 year old cabs that have swapped out speakers. Open it up, identify which drivers it has, and note how they're wired (series, parallel, series/parallel). From there, you can determine the wattage and ohms. You can also determine the overall ohms by touching your multimeter to the two leads right where they go into the output jack. I prefer this method as then you don't need to "think" about the wiring scheme and derive the ohms from that.

Man, you got a great looking cab there. I was recently considering getting a Music Man half stack.

Its 100% original and in near mint condition (see pics). It looks just as good as my 6-month old 2536 cab. And it has never been used for giging and such According to the former Owner.

Nice score on the cab. I have two MM (original) combos, an RD 50 and an RP65.
For me, the 65 is the better amp, but live, I use the RD 50 - because it's smaller !!

Wow! Three years later, no manuals to be found, no Mm wiring diagrams, no institutional knowledge about these cabinets.
Almost like Electra Omega guitars, unicorns, Sumerian Aliens, etc.
As a personal observation, they are much like Model A Fords! They will be around when the last modeler gets crushed to make chips for cars.
However, that doesn't help figure out the guts of these things.

Remember that Music Man made the amps and cabinets, and they went bust and were bought by Ernie Ball in 1984. Ernie Ball Music Man never made the amps and cabinets. Any institutional knowledge is from a company that ceased to exist 40 years ago.
