BP, just want you to know I REALLY LIKE the SKB molded cases, IMHO they are the best.

Stay with the molded cases..

I'd like to add my voice of approval regarding the SKB cases... the hardware is very good quality and the cases very sturdy and thoughtfully designed. I love that the top of the case is extra deep and the padding has a cutout for the trem arm for my Petrucci.

Obviously EBMM deals with the stores and the stores deal with the customers, but is there an official company 'statement' on dealing with stores that sell the guitars to customers without the hard cases? Do customers have the right to 'demand' a hard case with their purchases?

GC sells hardcases separately (they say) to give the customer the" choice" of buying a different case...or even a gigbag (who doesn't want a hard case?). Guitars and hardcase always explode out into two different SKU numbers and everything. No guitar you will buy at GC comes with a hardcase...ever. They can reduce the price, or not charge you at all, but you are still buying two separate items.
