ROCK! :D

but if you need to know anything which isn't on the dangling piece of carton usually hanging from the headstock, try the FAQ. if that fails, customer service.

I think it's a good idea to have booklet that gives you :

  • a foreword of the CEO : a thank you from the BOSS
  • the history of the brand or model
  • some advices on general maintenance
  • the switches configuration (especially with the Morse ;))
  • how to contact Customer Service
Most of us don't need these information (because we have a lot of guitar or because we are spending a lot of hours on this forum ) but it gives to the customer the feeling that the product is complete.
For instance, when I bought my Fender Blues Deville, there was a documentation but I was really impressed because there was also the schematics of the amp. Not useful for 99.99% of the players, but it gives you the feeling that the guys from Fender take you seriously.

Just my 2 cents (in fact I have the secret dream to have a nice photo of Big Poppa )

I can see it now:

New guitar day.

Husband comes home, takes out the guitar, plugs in, and enjoys pure bliss.

Wife takes out the manual, starts thumbing through it, stops when she sees picture of BP...and enjoys pure bliss. :D

Man, I sure hope they do provide a manual soon. I've had my new EBMM BFR Axis now for about two weeks and have yet been able to play it due to this reason. (obvious sarcasm)

My Super Sport came with a diagram on how to change the battery. I can't seem to find one though. :D

:p same here, the past SMY2D i owned had come with the battery change instructions too.

What a coincidence, my JP6 Mystic Dream (no options) came with those battery change instructions as well. It literally kept me up many nights trying to figure that one out. :D

Sarcasm aside ... it's not a bad idea. Seems to me it probably comes down to more of a marketing decision. That's mostly what manuals for products like these are. More opportunity to plaster your logo around, not so much to really explain.

Plus, it's a lot more wasted paper.

"Plus, it's a lot more wasted paper." Indeed, if these were print manuals he's talking about. The link he provided is a manual in .pdf format. An EBMM manual for each model in .pdf format isn't a bad idea at all.
Paolo, why not give EBMM customer service a call or write them note in the mail and ask them for what you need, specs etc. there are how to's for EBMM products in the FAQ section and also on YOUTUBE. Or ask here, many of us already have some of the schematics and I'm sure there is a wealth of information between all of the knucklheads. At the very least, you get pointed in the right direction here.

+1 (with my piezo Silo) :D

I guess I bought a hundred million guitars in my life, some of which were brand new...and I NEVER got a manual with a guitar  ...and as some of brothers said before, in an online world it's a terrible waste of paper and would increase the cost. Why would anybody want to have it that way?

Note: My girfriend just said I should quit overdoing things...have no idea what she is talking about, actually *lol*

I agree.. a downloadable pdf with specs etc would be cool. A basic setup guide as well as a list of any particular allen key sizes and other tools for that model would save customer service a lot of time spent answering calls/emails about the subject.
Just my 2cents :p

The website and forums are great and informative...being from California I also understand the environmental sensitivity to paper :)

However, I have purchased Gibson, Fender, Music Man quality instruments and only Fender provided a comprehensive manual in print with my instrument and I appreciated that.

I've never found the need for a manual. Now something that tells me how to play the blooming thing properly would be another story!

There is also EBMM's "Esteem Building for Lefties" publication, for which I provided the foreward :
