ok, but that doesn't refute the statement I made

Most of the instruments listed on Shopatron are the only ones that EB has, and are pictures of the actual instruments. It's not like there are 50 of each model sitting at the factory, remember - EB doesn't build inventory. These are instruments that somehow became available for sale, from either 1-off production or dealer goofs. If I ordered something and then told EB to stuff it when they say it's ready to ship then it will wind up on Shopatron and I will get a boot to the butt.

If you see a maple top that is the guitar/bass you get. If you are wondering about opaque finishes like Pearl Redburst, if all Pearl Redburst JPs with piezo, matching headstock and shield inlays look the same, why should they photograph each one?

at least 2 guitars share the same image

at least 1 guitar is spec'd as a hardtail but the pic is of a trem guitar

... etc.

If I had to guess (and I don't) I would imagine that someone accidentally uploaded the wrong image and that every other instrument shown is exactly the instrument you get. Probably the right way to bring it to EBs attention would have been "just an fyi but guitars G47911 and G47965 show a tremolo while one is listed as a hardtail"

I'm sure AJ will be able to straighten things out soon enough.

Thank you for the call about this Pete. This was a mix up on the files names in the camera card memory. I have taken it down off the site until we get the picture fixed. In the future if anyone see's anything weird, or if you have any questions, please feel free to email me directly [email protected] or you can email the customer service box too [email protected] and we'll get it fixed asap. We will get an email much quicker than a post here.

Thanks all!

Guess so. I thought my initial post indicating my discovery was the right thing to do and worded rather benign. It was then met with posts suggesting I didn't know what I was talking about and went about to educate me. Anyway, I'm glad it's fixed; I'll try to word things more gently in the future.

Sorry about the confusion on this issue. I didn't know that you were talking about a specific guitar or picture mix up. I was just trying to explain how we managed the pictures and which ones were the actual guitar, as I didn't know if it had been posted before. Thanks for catching that! ~Aziah :)

Izzy what Pete was trying to explain is instead of an ambiguous post an e-mail to us would have been more polite. Anyways thanks for catching the error.

I got that, I was confused that my original post was, and continues to be interpreted as rude. It was not my intent. I apologize, I'm a programmer and socially inept.

The instruments listed on the Shopatron site are what we actually have available to ship right now. We are a made to order company so we don't make instruments for stock. But sometimes we do have instruments available due to cancellations or other reasons. If you want something specific that you can't find in stock at your dealer or here, you can always put in an order. Our normal back order is about 3-4 months. We can also do a search for you to see if any dealer has a specific Luke in stock. Feel free to email us at [email protected]
