And...what about Bongo LTD Radiance Red (though invoice says "Saph Red") 144L12405 showing "Serial Number F11044"

Hey OG, you are correct - the finish is Radiance Red, and would be sporting a black headstock and neck, Limited Edition neckplate, and the build date is 5/11/04. Originally shipped to the legendary Chuck Levin's Washington Music Center.

Looking for the build date for a used SR5 ser. E12138. Gav's site lists it as 02/00, the sticker on the bass pot reads 11-16-99 ML. Also it's a one-piece body and I was wondering what wood it is (ash most likely?). Thanks!

Brim

Brim, the build date was 2/7/00. The wood is always ash on a Natural finish body. You may well have a one-piece body, no way to tell that by the serial number - you can only tell by examining the body.

Thanks very much - and it sat there apparently for years until I discovered it; it's on deposit for me when I return to the US of A in a few weeks. I suppose it's somewhat collectable. Appreciate it!

Sure, here are the facts in this case: Built on 6/02/00 and originally shipped to Washington Music Center. All of the specs you listed line up perfectly.

PH, Certainly - this baby was completed on April 26, 1995 - It shows as a Sunburst (now called Honeyburst) with a maple board. Originally was shipped to our distributor in Italy.

Wow, so your collection is now complete? Our sales are going to take a hit if you aren't buying any more basses! ;)

Your newest was completed on 7/09/07 StingRay 5 H Natural Ash Rosewood shipped to Long & McQuade.
Your woods are on the money -

Thanks Dan! I didn't know that about the natural bodies. It's definitely one-piece.

Hello all! Looking for info on a bongo I may be purchasing soon ... serial number F12964. What can ya tell me about it? Also, does anyone know of a database I can check to make sure it's not hot?

-Thanks in advance

Four EBMM basses in less than a month is enough of a contribution to the "BP fund"!:p:D Unfortunately my Sterling was sacrificed for the SR5.:( All is good though.

Thanks for the help Dan!

Warwick out Stingray in

Hi! I just got my first Stingray and Musicman ever. I think I'll stick to it...it's got a few "dings" but feels great playing it and sounds great through my MP3 bass trainer (!). It was born in...2004? The number is E44774, can you tell me anything more?
Thanks!

rib eye, I contacted the original owner and apparently she is the one selling it through a friend, so it all appears legit.

We have a thread on this Forum for this purpose: http://www.ernieball.com/forums/music-man-basses/17054-stolen-music-man-instruments.html

At any rate, this Bongo 5 HS in Carbon Blue Pearl was completed on 2/5/05.
