Records don't exist for Pre-EB Music Man Basses but, comparing your serial with others, your Bass was made in either late 1978 or 1979 if the serial number is located on the bridge. If it's on the neck plate it will be 1978.

Dates are usually found on the neeck heel or in the neck pocket on the body but the neck has to be removed to view them.
