Hello there, greetings from Berlin!

I would also like to know the DOB of my Sterling, please.
Serial is 4 2 8 7 4 (it's a four string, sunburst, fretless model bought in Munich, Germany).

Thanks a lot, and have a nice day!

Any idea when this was made. I obtained the number by calling the guitar center store listed online. All they gave me was 38989. Its a sunburst stingray.

Thanks, Jacob, appreciated.

I'm having a hard time making my mind up, but maybe I'm going to sell that one.
Can you point me to any sources that help me evaluate what the bass is worth today?
I'm seeing similar MM's on the internet for less than 1k, not sure where they're built though.

Can you also give me any infos on the types of wood used in the 024874 ?
If you want I can supply some pictures!

Thank you in advance, and have a nice day!

Muschi, this instrument should have an ashwood body.
I'd recommend looking up prices of similar basses on ebay- Unfortunately we don't deal in the used market and cannot give you an appraisal for the selling price.

Thanks again, Jacob!

You would not be able to tell what kind of wood the neck / fretboard is made of, would you?

It's hard for me to compare this bass to 'similar' others, as, as far as I can tell, there are today quite a lot of
'not real' MM's out there, not built in the states, etc - which is often concealed in the description etc.

Anyway, thanks for your help / input so far!
Have a nice day, greetings from Berlin!

Muschi,
Your bass, along with all EB-era Music Man fretless basses (except stealth/ SE models) have Pau Ferro fretboards/ maple necks. Rest assured, your bass is an authentic, American-made instrument ;)

I just traded for a EB Music Man Sterling-Natural finish, Maple board, shell pick guard and a HS pickup config. I just love this bass. I would like to know when it was made and any other info that you may have. Serial # F18649.

Thanks You,
Jerry Mullins
