Hey bottom end brothers...just snagged a Stingray 4 HH slo special, and would like to get a production date on it. Also, curious about the fretboard wood. If it's rosewood, it's the darkest rosewood I've ever seen. Does the serial number indicate that info?

Looking at a used Stingray 5H on eBay, serial number E55147. It's being sold as a 5H but from all the detailed pics it looks like it was a 5H Piezo and the Piezo bridge was removed. The seller didn't respond to my inquiries about that. Is there a way to tell if I'm wrong about the Piezo?

B027397 - Unfortunately, this serial number does not appear in our database. However, after referencing musicmanbass.org, it looks like this bass was built early in 1988.
