This one appears to be a pre Ernie Ball Sabre Bass from that serial number. Unfortunately we don't have these ones in our serial number database. There is usually a date stamp in the neck pocket and the pickup cavity that will give you an idea of when it was produced. Here is a link to a great reference site for pre Ernie Ball basses as well, SERIALS Pre-EB - Musicmanbass.org, Music Man, Musicman, Music Man Bass, Musicman Bass, Music Man Guitar.

Hi! Thinking about buying this SR5, just wanted to see if you could tell me anything about it that pictures don't. DOB? Magnet type? Location of original sale? weight?

The dealer is advertising the bass as new and in 10/10 condition, but at a couple hundred dollars less than typical brand new basses are seen at.

E77395

Thanks!

Wondering about exact dates for my two MMs:

Stingray 5, natural, rosewood 53017

I think it's late 1992, based on musicmanbass.org, but I'd like to get the exact date.

Stingray 4, sunburst, rosewood, 2EQ E23327.

I think it's a 2001, based on musicmanbass.org.

Thanks!

Chris
