This StingRay 5 was completed on February 15th, 2000. The color is Translucent Purple with the Maple neck & matching headstock. It was originally shipped to Guitar Center.

This one appears to be a pre Ernie Ball bass. Unfortunately our serial number database didn't come around until the late 1980s when Ernie Ball took over the company, so we don't have too much information for these. There is usually a date stamp in the neck pocket or pickup cavity that will give you an idea of the production date. There is also a great reference website for pre Ernie Ball instruments that you can reference against similar serial numbers, http://musicmanbass.org/mycustompage0052.htm.

This Sterling with Piezo was completed on September 3rd, 2009. The color is Carmel Apple Delight (Dargie Delight II) with the Ebony fretboard & Mother of Pearl Inlays with Paua Abalone inserts. The was part of a limited edition run that was only open for a one month ordering window. It was originally shipped to Dubaldo Music Center.

If it's an older model, it could be on the bridge beneath the saddles. If not you can e-mail pictures to [email protected] and we can check it out to see if theres anything we notice that could give us an idea of when it was produced.
