I just sent it to painting service and they informed me that the color the bass has is not the original one. Of course, I bought it from use.

X13507 - This S.U.B. Sterling was completed on February 6th, 2006. The color is Textured White with the Rosewood fretboard. It was originally shipped to Strings & Things.

I triple checked the number. It looks like the pick guard has been replaced with a newer model with a wheel truss. Everything else looks original.

The serial number database didn't come around until the late 1980s after Ernie Ball had already taken over the company. It's possible that this one was done before the serial number database came about so it was never inputed. There is generally a date stamp in the neck pocket on those earlier models that will give you an idea of the production date.
