Thanks, Joel, for the info on 34642. It all matches apart from the pickguard - is this definitely white, not black?

This StingRay 5 was completed on April 15th, 1998. The color is Sunburst with the Maple neck (we don't have the neck cut information in the serial number database). It was originally shipped to Horseshoe Music.

This S.U.B. 2EQ was completed on July 25th, 2006. The color is Textured Black with the Rosewood fretboard. It was originally shipped to Guitar Center.

It's difficult to say if the pickguard color is 100% accurate. In the 90s the build codes were not submitted into the serial number database, just a description (not including pickguard color). Vintage Sunburst were supposed to ship with Black pickguards, Sunburst were to ship with white. Sorry I missed that Vintage Sunburst & Sunburst had different listings in the archive when I checked yesterday. This one should of shipped with black according to those notes.

I have two American Rays... any and all info would be much appreciated:
First one (Black/H/Rosewood/Stingray):E40357
Second one (Red/H/Rosewood/30th Anniversary Stingray):E35095 ... on this one it would also be cool if you knew what number (123 our of 4567) produced it was or any other available info.

Happy New Year, I bought a sterling bass this morning that is the best playing bass I have ever played. Can you please tell me when it was made, the original color, as it is natural with a black pickguard, and if you know where it originally was sent? The serial number is F12203. Thank you so much I can't wait for band practice now! Ed
