This StingRay Classic was completed on December 6th, 2016. The color is Vintage Sunburst with the figured Maple neck. It was originally shipped to Strings & Things.

I just need to clear one thing, when I ordered I asked for a Birdseye maple neck and fretboard. Is this the same as a figured Maple neck which you have stated in your reply?

Thanks a lot!! It is such a sweet bass! And only 6 days older then my son :)

Quick question though, do you know if this is a smoked neck? It is really lovely dark.
And should there be a tort PG on it, as it has now? Looks like a white one would look good on it.

Now we don't offer a selection of birdseye or flame figuring on the classics, they are just figured. The serial number database only says figured for this one due to the option no longer being offered, but that means that it will have birdseye or flame figuring. If you can send a photo to [email protected], we can confirm the type of figuring yours has.

Joel (or AJ)... B050440 (Stingray Classic) please.

This was originally shipped with a standard birdseye Maple neck, not smoked. It was originally shipped with a Shell pickguard & White cover. White pickguards for the StingRay 5 Classic are available for purchase, send an e-mail to [email protected] with your serial number and location requesting a white pickguard, we'll get back with the best way to order.

Thank you so much for the very prompt reply! :) It appears the neck was changed out for a very beautifully flamed, solid maple neck/fingerboard, heavy gloss finish on neck and fingerboard. It is the thinnest at-the-nut 5 string neck I have ever felts! (Hence my SLO question) I'ma happy camper! Will try to post pics soon..
