Regards,

Dan

Hi Just bought a fretless stingray the serial is 34009 it looks like original sunburst with a clear scratchplate. It has the the decal on the back of the headstock which my fretted doesn't have but I reckon it was made about the same time 89.

Any help appreciated!

Stevie, according to our records, your StingRay didn't start out as a fretless but instead had a solid maple neck. We show it being completed on 1/30/92 (at least the body). Someone evidently swapped the neck at some point.

Anyway, I hope it's a great acquisition for you! :)

Nounouk, It was just the 4's I was referring to - slightly less than 600 StingRays made of this color, counting all options available at the time.

highball, your information is as follows:

Serial number E31312 - 6/19/02, natural/maple originally sent to the boys at Bass Central.

Serial number E21255 - 3/6/01, black/maple, sent to a Sam Ash store.

How's that?

Much too late, I'm afraid! I'm outta here in another half hour. But remember, we're on Pacific time ... so that'll be 5:00.

And I'll be howlin' like a dawg ....at 5:00
