Thanks. Yeah it's in great shape. What's really hard to believe is that it's been my only bass in all that time and it saw three to four gigs a month for about four years. Only one tiny little nick.

I try and take really good care of my stuff.

I'm looking for a DOB for mine as well. Serial Number L03519 Its a Trans Orange Lefty SR5. I bought it new a year ago but it doesnt have the compensated nut. I would love to know when it was made.

Eric, your bass was completed on 1/23/04 and shipped to Bass Northwest, Seattle, Wa.

Another newbie on this forum too! Also a recent convert from my trusted '83 Fender precision to a SUB sterling and a stingray. I got the Sterling SUB about 3 weeks ago and the Stingray yesterday. My Fender is now on the auction block!

I was wondering if you could help with the dating of the stingray - serial number 49184. I think it's a '96 but I'm not 100% on that....any info you can provide would be great!

Thanks. The guy who bought the bass originally from Bass Northwest sold it back to them. I picked it up two weeks ago.

Hey, Nez, I also want to bid a welcome to you. Your bass with that serial number was completed on 5/28/03. However, our records show that as an active bass.. Are you sure it is passive? Perhaps you listed the serial number wrong. One sure way to tell is if it has a battery compartment or not. If it helps, we show this as a red bass.

TTG, you are 100% correct .... the exact build date on your bass is 3/27/96. It was originally shipped to Audio Light & Musical (Seavan Ltd), in Norfolk, Virginia. They are no longer Music Man dealers.
