Just for history. I already know DOB of my bass, but still haven't got it home:( EBMM Sterling preseries #37523 was born 8/06/93.

But there is one thing I forgot to ask Dan: what is the exact name of color of this bass? It seems to be teal, but not so sure... Dan, please help me again if you can!

Hi Gav! I think it's 6 august 'cause Dan wrote me the date in this format. That difference between date formats is really weird
And thank you for your site. It helped me so much:)

Just got my new Stingray HS today! Since you're giving out DOB's, could I get one for mine as well....as if you didn't have anything better to do with your time than look up serial numbers. ;)

Jones, no problem - that's what I do!

Your Natural finish StingRay was completed on 12/6/06.

kasimka, this one is interesting. Yes the production date is 6 August 1993 (for you folks in the "down under' region). But the color in our database lists it as "Special". The color is a prototype, one that we never went forward with, sort of a predecessor to Pearl Teal, but with more blue. In fact, the entire bass is really a prototype, this being the year the Sterling was first introduced. Information is a bit sketchy here. This was originally sold to an EBMM employee, so you never know... there's probably a story here somewhere ....

176-73-21-03 come to daddy..

Hey Dan,

I was recently smitten by a wonderful Sterling HS shown to me by my pals at Perkins Music.
I'm not typically an impulse buyer but this one blew my socks off so I had to make it mine..
I think it was pretty much out of the box when I got it in early May but see what you have for S/N F18133 in your files.

Thanks!

Dan! Thank you so much! I always have unusual things happening around me:) I think it's because I had 6 finger when I was born:) So I will have a unique unusual bass named by BP:) It's really grate:)

Dan...how about 37125.

Appears to be the same as kasimka's Sterling-like Bass...no pg or pg holes, no neck plate markings and a headstock logo with just "Ernie Ball Music Man" (but doesn't name the Bass model). It was in the Music Myer (Europe) gallery.
