Hi - I have a 2-band EB Stingray 4-string and I'd like to find out exactly when it was "born" since I'm about to sell it (I'm buying a '79 Sabre!) - I bought my 'Ray second-hsnd, but I think it was made sometime around 1994.

The serial number is 43235.

John, your StingRay was completed on 2/09/95 The finish is Trans Teal.

Glenn, unfortunately we have no records for that bass. Judging from the number, it looks like it is a late pre-EBMM or an early EBMM. Gormr, yes, we used to put the serial numbers on the bridge until about 10-11 years ago - we then switched to using the neckplate as the serial number location.

Your Trans Red/Maple StingRay 5 shipped out on 04/11/91.
