Hi and welcome to the Forum! Your bass is a StingRay 5 string model and the color is called Medallion Gold. It was done on 2/24/04 and originally sent to the Guitar Center distribution center.

was confronted with a deal I couldnt pass up.
Blue Dawn Sterling. serial f07085.
Any info on my new baby would rule!

Nice score! This one was done on 3/28/03

Hi, I have the Stingray 4 EX (japanese), white with black pickguard and maple neck, but I don't know how old it is. It is in a mint condition, almost like new one, that suprises me a little.

Serial number: E27097

Hi and welcome. Since we do not produce the EX models, we do not have serial number information in our database.

This one was done on 5/29/09 and sent to The Arts Music Store in Canada

Do you know who can?
Who produced the EX models?
Thanks.

Our Japanese distributor, Kanda Shokai did these. Here is their contact info:
Kanda Shokai Corp
3-4-2 Kandakaji-Cho,
Chiyoda-Ku, Tokyo 101
P: 8133 2543 617
F: 8133 2543 618

Hi and welcome! Can you double check that serial number? It has one too many numbers in it. Thank you!

Hmm well maybe its E50307? Or 503076?

Its a Stingray HH, the body is like a Translucent red, the pickguard doesn't cover the knobs, instead there is chrome plating underneath the knobs. The pickguard is black, although it was used and couldve originally been white. It has a maple neck and does not have a matching head stock

E50307 comes up as a different bass then you described. But that is the right serial number format. It would be a letter followed by 5 numbers.

Is it possible I got a fake? The serial number has to be the initial 7 digit number I gave then. Any possible explanation for this? Are there any Stingray HH's that do match my description?

Can you send a pic of the serial? You are looking on the neck plate right? I'm sure there have been StingRay HH's that have been made like your description, as those are options that we've offered on that model. But there's not a way really for me to do a search of that exact combo and their serial numbers. You can email me direct at [email protected].
